I found one loophole in win 7 which shows poorness of windows7 security than windows XP. You can crack windows7 admin password without any tool. i.e, no bootable CD, Pen drive needed. Just password protected Windows 7 system.
1. Restart ur PC.
2. Hold down power button when you see Boot logo(four coloured dots make logo). System will turn off.
3. Again turn on. Then you will find some menu, Startup Recovery Mode(recommended) on black screen. Select it.
4. Now "Attempting repairs" box will appear.
5. After 5 minute message appears, "windows cannot detect errors." (Go back to Step3,if it takes too long)
6. There you will find "more details" button. Click on it.(If its not there again go to step 3.)
7. Now you wil find blue underlined hyperlink ..\erofflps.txt. Click on it.
8. It will open in Notepad.Go to >File > Open
9. Browse to c:\windows\system32 choose show "All files"
10. Rename sethc.exe to sethc.old.exe and make a copy of cmd.exe(right click and drag) and rename that copy to sethc.exe.
11. Restart PC. When logon screen will ask you the password. Press Shift 5 times. Now cmd will open.
12. Overwrite old user's password, by entering NET USER username * in cmd, where username is user name of password protected account.
